SEP Promotion

As IPSF expanded globally, the need for international communication and knowledge exchange increased.

To achieve this, IPSF launched the Student Exchange Program (SEP) as its largest project to connect students worldwide.

Student Exchange Program (SEP) is IPSF's largest project, providing pharmacy students the opportunity to have professional and international pharmaceutical training in another country exposing them to international experience to cultivate a global and professional mindset. The students will get the chance to know and be familiar with the updates in the pharmaceutical fields worldwide.

▪ More than 1,000 students worldwide are allowed to experience this program in 5 different training fields in more than 80 different countries.

● Aim of SEP Promotion

1. Increase awareness about SEP among pharmacy students.

2. Encourage students to apply and gain international professional experience.

3. Promote cultural exchange and global networking.

4. Help students develop both personal and professional skills.

5. Build a globally minded pharmacist community.

● Time Line

•Summer (2 phases)

1st phase: Late October to early November.

2nd phase [AFRP]: During April.

•Winter (1 phase): Late July to early August.

●Process for LEO

1. Pre-Plan Calendar [ where you add dates for association workshop, 3 offline days, and add your application form].

2. Application form [You MUST give access to EPSF SEO &Development manager & MD in your LA Pre-selection Form].

3. Tracking Form submission.

4. SEP Seminar where you share SEP and SEPers experience.

5. Candidates’ filtration and local interviews.

6. Submitting Accepted candidates’ names for the national interview.

7. Candidates Education before the national interviews.

8. National interviews done by SEO, SEP WG.

9. Submit the promotion report.

1.Summer SEP Promotion
The main and largest promotion phase, targeting a wide audience to raise awareness about SEP and attract the highest number of applicants for the summer exchange.

2.AFRP (Application Form Reallocation Project)
This phase was approved by 55th General Assembly in Bali, Indonesia 2009. This phase consists of 3 types of MOs, Member organisations with extra unused AFs, Member Organisations in need for extra AFs, Member Organisations with available hosting capacity. AFRP purpose was to redistribute the unused Application forms to optimise AFs usage and to provide fair and equal opportunities to all Member Organizations.
So, this phase allows students who missed the initial phase to apply again and benefit from unfilled places.

3. Winter SEP Promotion
winter SEP promotion was introduced for the first time by Ms. Duaa Al-Sayed in SEP mandate 2021-2022, this phase starts at the ends of a SEP year and the follow up continues till the beginning of the next SEP year, thus the LEOs of 2 consecutive years works with the same SEPers one conducts the promotion, education and interviews preparations and the other does the follow up.

SEP Festival
History:
SEP festival was launched by Mr. Kerolos Gamal in SEP mandate 2023-2024, where EPSF-Mansoura organized the first ever SEP Festival during EPSF Congress 2023-2024
Intro:
SEP Festival is a promotional and educational event that focuses on increasing awareness of the Student Exchange Program. It presents SEP in a creative way through cultural booths, activities and informative videos. It helps students understand the benefits of participating in SEP and encourages them to apply.
Aim:

It increases awareness about SEP among pharmacy students.

It promotes cultural diversity and international understanding.

It helps students learn about training opportunities in different countries.

It supports the promotion and visibility of EPSF SEP activities.

Timeline:
SEP Festival is an obligatory project for Step on the way and National hosting Local Associations (LAs) during the hosting. 1 offline day or more during EPSF Mandate in the LAs extra events recommended in LA anniversary, Job fair, Mega events and long-term projects. This ensures that every LA contributes to promoting SEP in a structured and consistent way.
Process:
SEP festival needs preplan and approval from SEO first
Recommended activities in SEP Festival:

Workshops explaining SEP and its application process.

Cultural booths and presentations.

Sharing experiences from former SEPers would be even better to invite them to the festival.

Games and interactive activities about different countries.

Promotion of SEP training and exchange opportunities.

Digital booth with videos of former SEPers.

Eye catching and interactive handmade materials.

Share the QR codes of the Telegram Bot, SEP Instagram, IPSF countries website.

SEP Talk

SEP talk is a brief presentation and talk about IPSF and SEP, it’s mainly conducted during EPSF Nationals and SOTW. Recently the LAs has been incorporating it into the local events as PHocus to support SEP Promotion during the AFRP phase.
Aim:
Increase the awareness about SEP and IPSF.
Encourage the students to apply to SEP.
Share the experiences of former SEPers.
Recommended Activities:
Invite ex-SEPers to the talk to share their experience.
Showcase videos and photos for former SEPers.
Share the QR codes of the Telegram Bot, SEP Instagram, IPSF countries website.
Timeline:
It’s a long-term project that needs preplan and approval from SEO first.
